According to Kennedy's Irish Pub Manager Erin Kennedy the smoke in her restaurant/bar was "so thick you could literally cut it with a knife....it got to the point where even the smokers were saying that it was too much." So the bar whose legendary service and charm has kept customers coming back for over 30 years decided to do something about the smoke.

An Affordable Solution
The bar was looking for an affordable solution and after a final prompt from a mailer sent out by Waterford Michigan based AbsoAir, which offered a rent to own plan, Kennedy's decided to install an electronic air cleaner. According to Erin who has been working at her family's bar since she was a teen, the difference was "huge" for employees and customers alike.

As the bar's business continued to change from just serving drinks to offering good food and a night out to customers, the need for clean air became even more important. So just last month Kennedy's made the decision to upgrade the electronic system they had had for nine years to a newer and more efficient media air cleaning system. Due to the top shelf service and personal attention they had received from AbsoAir and its owner Dale Dillard, the choice of who would install the new system for the bar was an easy one to make.

After the upgrade Erin says "customers kept asking what had changed to make the bar appear so much bigger and brighter and it finally occurred to me that the new air cleaner had removed so much of the smoke and pollution that they perceived that we had actually made a physical change to the bar." She also indicated that the new media system is much better than the original electronic air cleaner because it is much quieter and does not blow cold air on the wait staff or customers. When asked if she would recommend AbsoAir to other bars or businesses with similar air quality concerns Erin replied, "just give me the chance. We are extremely happy with the company and appreciate the high quality of their service."
